London Calling

Hey everyone :)! Before I begin, I just wanted to mention that this is my first blog post ever. I am both nervous and excited! For the past five years, I always dreamed of creating a fashion blog, but never had the time or money to do so. Now that it has been almost two years since I graduated university, I finally decided to give this blogging thing a shot. My goal for now is to post twice a week, since I work full time and have other responsibilities. If I have time to do more posts, then I will definitely do so! I'm looking forward to sharing my style with you, as well as meeting and engaging with other fellow bloggers :). Now let the journey begin!

Today's outfit post was actually taken at the beginning of March. The reason I didn't post this earlier, was because my blog was being created at the time. Now that my blog is officially up and running, I plan on posting all the outfit photos I did in March.

As you can see, I felt inspired to create a 60's Mod look. I absolutely love 60s style, especially from the mid 60's onwards. I love how the style became more relaxed and carefree, in comparison to the 50's and early 60's. Even though I admire 50's fashion, I feel more like a 60's/70's type of girl at heart. The main reason is because I'm terrible at doing hair, apart from the basics. The other reason is that whenever I create a 50's inspired look, I tend to feel a bit overdressed, like I'm going to a costume party. In contrast, I feel more comfortable wearing 60's/70's clothes, since it's effortless but stylish too.

As for the outfit, everything is old apart from the adorable double decker purse that I purchased from Modcloth. It's a bit on the pricey side, but I'm a sucker for novelty bags and British things, so I bought it. It was totally worth it though! I am in love with this bag and I know it's going to go with many outfits. I'm definitely bringing this bag to London too, the next time I go!

Sorry for the weird pose on the left haha! I was trying to imitate Pattie Boyd but failed!

  1. Yay! Congratulations on your first blog post and I get to be your comment as well :) I also dreamed of starting my blog for a few years before I bit the bullet and dived in. You'll have a great time! I love d this outfit the first time I saw it on instagram, so I'm delighted to see it here. I agree with you about the 60s and 70s being a little more relatable to everyday life and I love that bag! What a great purchase. Congrats again, I can't wait to see more :)
